Renee MarchittoMy Visit to Sale Ranch Sanctuary
Renee Marchitto
Over the summer, I met Kid Rock...well kind of! This Kid Rock had horns, walked on four legs and was actually a goat (which is better than the human version if you ask me 😬). He lives at Sale Ranch Sanctuary in Temecula, CA along with other adorable, rescued animals. I had such a fun time visiting with the animals and learning about how they came to be at the sanctuary. Jen, the founder, was so warm and welcoming. You can definitely feel how much she loves those animals. And here is the elusive Kid Rock! Just look at that beautiful...

Renee MarchittoThis post is a little late...ok, a lot late but better late than never right? Especially when there is delicious food that needs to be shared. In January, my husband and I were in Tulum, Mexico for a little birthday getaway which coincided with Tulum Vegan Fest. This was my first time attending a vegfest outside of the U.S. which was so fun! It was also my first time in Tulum which was a win-win! One of our first stops was at The Real Coconut which was situated right on the beach. A beautiful view and beautiful food, you can't ask for...
My Vegan Story
Renee WilloughbyWith it being Veganuary right now, I've seen a lot of people taking the challenge which is so exciting! And this probably goes without saying that even when it's not January, you can still take a 30 Day vegan pledge! :) During this month, I have also seen vegan YouTubers share their experiences on living a vegan lifestyle which is awesome. It has inspired me to share my vegan story. A little backstory, when I was...

Renee WilloughbyWhat's better than waking up to the sound of howler monkeys outside your window? Well...I could think of other things since they legit sound like dinosaurs or something from a horror movie but they are so cute and hey, we were in their environment after all. Howl away monkey friends! My husband was turning the big 3-0 this year so what better way to celebrate than with a somewhat impromptu trip to Costa Rica. We've heard that Costa Rica is very vegan-friendly so we were excited to do some exploring. And let me tell you, we were not disappointed. Be warned,...
